  Thanks for your posting on this site. From my experience, there are times when softening upward a photograph might provide the professional photographer with a chunk of an artsy flare. More often than not however, the soft cloud isn't just what exactly you had under consideration and can quite often spoil an otherwise good photograph, especially if you thinking about enlarging it.
